The Vilar Formoso train station is currently being restored. The iconic train station, and one of the most embellished train stations of Portugal, is decorated with dozens of beautiful tile panels portraying bucolic scenery and famous national monuments on Portuguese cities.

The work involves the conservation work on all the tile panels and the cleaning of the building masonry. The famous “welcome to Portugal” panel will also be recovered.

This project will last four months and will count on eight technicians.
